CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

CrimeALERT: Burglary – Sibley Hall On August 29, 2023, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Cornell University Police Department received a report of a burglary at Sibley Hall, City of Ithaca. The suspect entered unoccupied offices and stole a personal item sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on August 28, 2023. The suspect is described as a male, in his 20’s or 30’s, approximately 6’0” – 6’2” with dark hair placed up in a bun. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to contact the Cornell University Public Safety Communications Center at (607)255-1111. Cornell University Police urge the community to take steps to protect their property by locking and closing unattended doors and windows and to immediately report any suspected criminal activity they see by dialing 911 or utilizing the RAVE Guardian app.
