CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

Crime ALERT: Crime ALERT: Burglary – City of Ithaca On August 27, 2023, at approximately 1:30 a.m., the Ithaca Police Department responded to the 100 block of Highland Place, City of Ithaca, for a burglary complaint that occurred between 12:50 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. on August 27, 2023. It was reported that an unknown male subject entered the residence through an unlocked window and stole a debit card and cash before exiting the front door in an unknown direction of travel. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt. Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to contact the City of Ithaca Police Department at (607)272-9973 or the Cornell University Public Safety Communications Center at (607)255-1111. Cornell University Police urge the community to take steps to protect their property by locking and closing unattended doors and windows and to immediately report any suspected criminal activity they see by dialing 911 or utilizing the RAVE Guardian app.
