CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

CrimeALERT: Burglary - City of Ithaca On May 9, 2023, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Cornell University Police responded to a report of a burglary at Cascadilla Hall. The suspect entered an occupied dorm room through an unlocked door and stole a backpack before leaving the area in an unknown direction of travel. The suspect is described as a female, wearing jeans and a blue sweater, and carrying a black and white checkered purse. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information related to this crime is asked to contact the Cornell University Public Safety Communications Center at (607) 255-1111. Cornell University Police urge the community to take steps to protect their property by locking and closing unattended doors and windows and to immediately report any suspected criminal activity they see by dialing 911 or utilizing the RAVE Guardian app.
