CrimeALERT: On Thursday, March 29th, 2018, Cornell University Police responded to Clara Dickson Hall, 21 Sisson Place, City of Ithaca, for a report of a burglary. The victim reported that his laptop computer and other items were stolen from his dorm room between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., March 29th, 2018. The victim was not in his room at the time of the incident. Cornell University Police canvassed the area and interviewed a witness who stated that she observed two males attempting to enter Clara Dickson Hall that night. The men were unsuccessful initially and then followed someone in who had access. She later observed the two men on the fifth floor of Clara Dickson Hall checking for unlocked doors. The witness describes the two suspects as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, carrying a black backpack. No further description is available at this time. While investigating this burglary, Cornell University Police received additional reports of items stolen from North Campus residential facilities Low Rise 6 and High Rise 5.
