CrimeALERT: Robbery – On Friday July 12, 2019 at about 09:00 p.m., the Cornell University Police was notified by the Tompkins County Sheriffs Office of an Armed Robbery that had occurred at 301 Maple Ave, Ithaca NY. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30pm this evening. The victim reported he had entered an apartment at 301 Maple Ave to purchase drugs when he was confronted by 3 unknown individuals inside the apartment. One of the individuals displayed a revolver style handgun and demanded cash from the victim. The victim turned over a large amount of money to the suspects before fleeing the apartment, unharmed. The victim was unable to provide any descriptions of the 3 individuals involved due to the suspects wearing mask and clothing to cover up their identity. The victim however believes he knew one of the suspects. All 3 of the suspects were believed to have fled in an unknown direction after the victim left the area to call police.
