CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

CrimeALERT: The Ithaca City Police Department is investigating a report of a forcible touching that occurred near the 100 block of Dryden Road in Ithaca on Friday, July 27, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Two female victims reported that a man approached them on the sidewalk south of the Dryden Road Parking Garage and groped both of them from behind. When the women turned to confront the man, he began to apologize. The man may have been accompanied by a woman, who was observed standing in front of Sangam Indian Cuisine as she yelled “I’m sorry, it was a dare.” The man then walked to the woman’s location, where they both picked up two large transparent trash bags and walked west on Williams Street. Victims described the man as white, 30 to 35 years old, 5 feet 7 inches, 180 pounds, with a medium build, bald and no facial hair and the woman as 5 feet 8 inches, 130 pounds with shoulder-length brown hair and wearing a dress.
