CRIME ALERT- Public Notification

Crime Alert – Burglary – 105 Highland Place – December 14, 2019 On December 14, 2019, between approximately 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., the Ithaca Police Department responded to two separate burglary complaints by residents at 105 Highland Place. Callers reported that someone had rummaged through their personal belongings, and that some of their belongings were missing. A caller reported seeing the suspect hiding in a closet inside of one of the burglarized apartments around 3:30 a.m. The unknown subject fled the area prior to Ithaca Police Department’s arrival and was last seen headed west on Highland Place. Entry was gained by the suspect through an unlocked/unsecured bathroom window. The complainant described the suspect as a black male in his 20’s, average height and weight, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a beige shirt (possibly long sleeve), and dark pants. No further descriptions were available from the caller. If the suspect is seen, call 911 immediately, do not approach.
