Time Change – Remember that clocks fall back to standard time on Nov. 6 at 2 a.m. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep! The time change also means it will get dark earlier, so take the time to see and be seen as you commute through campus. Now is a great time to check that smoke detectors are working correctly, too.

Tighten UpRecent burglaries and thefts in residential and office spaces (on and off campus) are just two reasons to ensure the safety of your residence or workspace by locking doors and tightening up against tailgating. No key or card? No entry. Lock up electronics and valuables (including cars) when they are out of your possession. Immediately report suspected criminal activity by dialing 911 or using the RAVE Guardian app.

Assess and Act – If there’s an active threat to life on campus, anticipate how to keep yourself and others safe with the Run, Hide, Fight approach. As always, if you see something, say something.
