The Cornell Police Crime Prevention Unit assists the Cornell community by improving security on campus and deterring criminal activity.  Scheduled presentations are also given after normal business hours for groups that do not meet during the day.

Programs such as Operation Id and the Key Tag program are designed to deter theft of property and to make it possible to trace recovered property to the rightful owner.  Presentations are given to provide information on how to deter becoming a victim and steps to take in the event someone is victimized.

The Crime Prevention Unit is involved in several outreach programs such as tours of the Cornell Police headquarters, staffing booths at various campus fairs, and providing training for several campus departments and groups.

The Crime Prevention Unit can give presentations to groups off campus when the local police are unable to provide the training.
