The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a reported strong-arm robbery that
occurred in the area of Dryden Road and Fairmount Avenue in Collegetown at about
9:20 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.
A female victim reported that while she was walking down the street, a male
perpetrator forcibly took her purse. The victim described the suspect as a white
male, 6-foot-3 to 6-foot-4 inches tall, 180 to 190 pounds, 18 to 24 years old,
wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket, light blue jeans and white sneakers. The
suspect was last seen on Elmwood Avenue.
The police investigation is continuing. Anyone with information related to this
event should contact the Ithaca Police Department at (607) 272-9973.
